Jollof Nights™
Physical trust infrastructure
The trusted human layer where prevention begins — peer-led conversations inside the spaces where communities already feel known.
Jollof Nights™ allows grassroots organisations, funders, health systems and institutions to plug into trusted community infrastructure without having to build trust from scratch.
You keep your identity, your work, your contracts, your mission and your private opportunities. But when it comes to sustained prevention inside trusted spaces, you do not have to carry the infrastructure alone. We already built it.
Jollof Nights Connect™ is currently in active development.
We are building a Trust-Led Human Connection Infrastructure For Prevention™ alongside community, NHS, academic and local authority partners.
Our aim is to make it easier for trusted community spaces, facilitators, health services and local organisations to work together, reduce duplication and support earlier engagement with prevention, wellbeing and support.
Most grassroots organisations are rich in expertise but short on infrastructure. Jollof Nights™ closes that gap by identifying trust and need, activating spaces, mobilising communities, documenting delivery and generating intelligence — so partners can focus on delivering what they do best, and get paid for it.
Become a Delivery PartnerMost community funding is fragmented and duplicated across disconnected initiatives. Jollof Nights™ consolidates this into one infrastructure with multiple delivery partners, unified reporting and shared accountability — which means funding Jollof Nights™ is funding scalable prevention infrastructure, not another standalone project.
Fund the InfrastructureJollof Nights™ is where institutions meet trust. We activate spaces where trust already exists so prevention can move earlier.
Jollof Nights Connect™ makes this measurable and scalable.
Work With UsJollof Nights™ builds trust. Jollof Nights Connect™ helps trust scale.
Physical trust infrastructure
The trusted human layer where prevention begins — peer-led conversations inside the spaces where communities already feel known.
Digital trust infrastructure
The digital infrastructure powering intelligence, continuity, coordination and scale across the ecosystem — so trust can be measured, preserved and extended without losing integrity.
To our knowledge, Jollof Nights™ is the first UK-based model to formalise trust itself as prevention infrastructure.
Not as an idea. Not as outreach. Not as engagement. But as a deliberate, copyrighted, repeatable operating system through which care can travel.
That changes everything.
Five pathways, one infrastructure. Each pathway uses trusted human connection to achieve different prevention and engagement outcomes.
People are more likely to seek help when trust exists.
People are more likely to change behaviour when trust exists.
People are more likely to engage with services when trust exists.
People are more likely to remain connected when trust exists.
Prevention begins before services. It begins in the relationships people already have.
Trusted human connection is not a soft outcome. It is a health asset — and Jollof Nights Connect™ is the digital layer that supports, preserves and scales it.
Together they form a Trust-Led Human Connection Infrastructure For Prevention™. Most technologies scale information. Jollof Nights Connect™ helps scale the conditions in which trust can form — a digital layer built on years of trusted community relationships, not a product launched into a community it does not know.
Peer-led conversations inside trusted spaces — where belonging, earlier help-seeking and the conditions for prevention can form naturally.
The digital layer that strengthens, preserves and scales trusted human connection — so prevention, research and partnership working can happen everywhere the model takes root.
Jollof Nights™ is a protected methodology. It is designed to be trained, licensed and deployed through trusted spaces. Barbershops, universities, churches, football clubs and community centres — the setting changes, the trust pathway remains.
Through Jollof Nights Connect™, every deployment maintains:
This reduces duplication and allows prevention infrastructure to scale without losing integrity.
Built trust, not a project.
Seven years of relationships before any structured activity began. The trust came first; the model came after.
Reach, not recruitment.
We don't recruit communities into prevention. The trust was already there. We make it usable for health, research and partnership working.
Infrastructure, not interventions.
Health systems intervene after problems emerge. We maintain the conditions in which prevention is possible — before services are needed.
Each stage compounds the one before it. The asset being built at every step is trust.
Not a project that launched in a planning document — an idea that evolved in real time, in a real community, over seven years. Each stage was made possible by the trust earned in the one before it.

Headlinerz Barbershop launches with one mission: ‘Bringing Back The Community.’ One-to-one conversations, Mental Health First Aid, listening and signposting surface repeating patterns — isolation, stress, loneliness, relationship pressure, poor wellbeing.

The barbershop becomes more than a place for haircuts. It becomes a trusted community space — a place where conversations happen naturally and where trust begins to accumulate.

Thursday Night Jollof launches. No app. No funding. No formal structure. Just people, food, conversation and trust. Men begin connecting with one another, not only with a facilitator.

People keep returning. Trust deepens. One barbershop becomes many — joined by community spaces, universities and partners. The model spreads because trust spreads.

Because trust exists, earlier conversations become possible: mental health, blood pressure, men’s health, prostate health, respiratory health, research participation, family wellbeing and earlier help-seeking.

Jollof Nights Connect™ emerges as the digital layer. The goal is no longer simply hosting sessions — it is strengthening, preserving and scaling trusted human connection.
The timeline reflects the evolution of the idea, not the growth of an organisation. Each stage made the next one possible.
During a community session, a man's blood pressure reading came back at:
He was told to seek urgent medical attention. The next day, a message: “Bro, you saved my life.” He had gone to hospital. He would not have, otherwise.
This is what early engagement looks like.

Health is shaped by finances, relationships, housing and legal issues as much as by medical care. None of these conversations happen without the trust layer underneath.

People take part more readily when conversations begin inside relationships they already trust. That changes what is possible for representation, retention and co-production.
Jollof Nights™ helps research and university partners engage communities through relationships that have already been built, reducing mistrust and supporting more meaningful participation.
“Headlinerz Barbershop and Ndukauba Ltd exemplify Oxleas' vision for integrated, community-led care, reducing health inequalities and improving lives.”
Local authorities are increasingly focused on prevention, community resilience and reducing pressure on services. Jollof Nights™ offers a trust-led route into communities where earlier conversations, local insight and preventative action can begin before crisis.
For funders and investors, the opportunity is not only to support activity, but to invest in a scalable trust infrastructure that can improve earlier engagement with prevention.
Figures are based on the NHS Cost Avoidance Report methodology and should be interpreted as estimated potential cost avoidance, not guaranteed savings. Full methodology and assumptions are set out in the Evidence & Reports section.
The aim is to support earlier engagement, reduce avoidable demand on the NHS and generate measurable social and economic value over time.
Jollof Nights™ is the trusted human layer. Jollof Nights Connect™ is the digital layer that strengthens, preserves and scales trusted human connection. The objective is not to build new engagement models from scratch in every location — it is to enable trusted, proven relationships to be activated, supported and deepened wherever the model takes root.
The asset being scaled is the trust between people in a place — not the number of sessions, not the volume of activity. Every other pillar exists to protect and transfer that trust.
Through CHIFA, facilitators are trained, supported and connected into an ongoing community of practice — so the capability to build trust travels with the model into new places, not just the format.
The Jollof Nights™ methodology is protected through structured training, facilitator development and implementation guidance — preserving the conditions in which trust can form.
Where proven trust infrastructure already exists, scaling and adapting it accelerates implementation, reduces duplication and supports more consistent prevention outcomes across locations.
To establish trusted human connection as recognised prevention infrastructure within health systems — alongside vaccines, screening and primary care — so that communities become active partners in prevention before crisis occurs.
“I see real potential in this model to act as a scalable proof of concept for how we deliver early intervention where it matters most.”
The NHS Cost Avoidance Report, the 2025 End-of-Pilot Report, community feedback summaries and research participation reports all sit in the document repository.
