Equal Breath Lung Health Survey

National survey currently open — share your voice on lung health.

The Equal Breath survey is helping surface lung health inequalities affecting Black communities across the UK. Delivered through trusted community spaces and conversations, the survey helps ensure lived experiences shape future respiratory health research, prevention and health priorities. Participation is voluntary, confidential and community-led.

Why this matters

People from Black and mixed Black heritage communities continue to experience significant respiratory health inequalities, yet are often underrepresented in research and prevention conversations. This campaign helps communities shape future lung health research priorities through trusted, community-rooted engagement.

Community reflections

Voices from people taking part in the pathway. Optional, anonymous, community-led.

  • "I never realised how unequal respiratory health outcomes could be."

  • "This made me think differently about breathing and prevention."

  • "It helped me understand why community voice matters in research."

Reflections are community statements shared with consent. This is an awareness pathway, not a clinical or diagnostic service.
